With Abuses and Insult the New National Assembly in Venezuela Opened Session.

On Tuesday, in a bizarre and unprecedented manner, the Venezuela National Assembly was installed with the 112 newly elected opposition parliamentarians from the MUD. This happened along with the abuses, insults, and all kinds of arbitrary actions by the exiting members of the government party.  Topping it all were the remarks by an intoxicated Chavista Héctor Agüero whose slater speech gave the sense of the direction that this decaying regime is heading.  These absurd behaviors by the members of the Maduro regime were done in plain view of international observers and Television cameras.

It is going to be very hard for the Parliamentarians who were elected by the majority of the Venezuelan people to execute laws under this climate of abuse and human right violations by the party that controls the Army.

The country is heading toward a civil unrest, which is exactly what the regime wants, to halt the changes that will be taking place with the new Parliament.  The other part that we can’t forget is the dire economic situation that Venezuela is living today, which is one of the reasons the regime is trying to distract the people with their loud and abusive behaviors; focusing their energy in creating chaos instead of solving the economic and social crisis the country is facing.

As I said in the past, the international community must play a more active role to force the Maduro/Diosdado Cabello regime to obey the will of the Venezuelan people for the necessary  changes to take place in Venezuela.

Nicolas Maduro is Walking on a Dangerous Territory Ignoring the Constitution

After badly losing the Parliamentary election on December 6, the Maduro government has decided to blatantly disregard the will of the Venezuelan people by creating a “Communal Resource Office”, simulating the National Assembly, and appointing the 22 Assembly men and women who lost their re-election. The objective of this mockery of Assembly is to contest in court the legitimacy of 22 Assembly personal that won the elections fair and square early this month. This absurd move by the regime is to guarantee disruption of the Democratic process that should take place on the first week of January, when the newly elected 112 Parliamentary men an women take office and begin their work restoring democracy and the respect for the law and the constitution in Venezuela.

Nicolas  Maduro, instead of revising its failing economic and social policies, continues  to ignore the reasons why the Venezuelan people voted against his regime. Lets refresh their memory: the long lines people have to endure to buy the little food left in Venezuela, the lack of products, the lack of medicines, the lack of jobs, the rampant crime, the list goes on and on. 

Nicolas Maduro and his narco –state has embarked in an Anti-Democratic mission, which will bring even more chaos and conflict to the already divided nation. This New Year, the government will face an unprecedented economic and social crisis with the continuing drop of oil prices in this once rich country. Maduro is walking on a dangerous territory which inevitably will lead to an implosion when the people of Venezuela come to the realization that they have being mocked and their votes has been blatantly disregarded by this power hungry Totalitarian Regime.

A Great Victory for Democracy in Venezuela

The Opposition’ s on December 6’s Parliamentary election, (99 seats the Opposition and 46 seats the government party PSUV), marks the beginning of a new era for Venezuela. The current National Assembly, headed by the Narco-boss Diosdado Cabelllo, must move aside to make way for the new National Assembly and start picking up the pieces. The systematic destruction of Venezuela was started by a traitor named Hugo Chavez and continues today with Nicolas Maduro.

 There were a few main factors that forced this dramatic victory for the Opposition:  the economic reality that is facing the country (now practically in ruins) combined with the International pressure that forced the regime to respect the will of the people. Their votes were respected this time. The disoriented dictatorship will have to abide by the dictates of a new National Assembly. Restoring the institutions of government, today sequestered by the regime, and recuperating the economy, now shambled by an inept regime, will not be an easy task.  We can’t forget that Venezuela also faces other challenges: Drug trafficking and Terrorism that circulate freely in the country. Success in the Parliamentary is a good start but we all, including the international community, need to pitch in to help Venezuela create task forces to clean the county and restore Democracy again

Autocracy for a Dictator

Last week President Obama declared Venezuela a threat to the United States. Maduro, instead of reviewing  his policies and behavior towards it's dissidents, enacted a new “Anti-Imperialist Law” to fight the U.S. 

The National Assembly, with the consent of the corrupt and one-sided Assembly body, unanimously approved the law which gives Maduro's  autocratic powers. According with Maduro, this law is to make immediate decisions in the event of an "attack".  In the two years of Maduro’s governing,  he has requested absolute powers from the National Assembly several times.

While this mockery to the democratic process was taking place in the National Assembly, Maduro showed his high level of economic mismanagement. He deployed 80,000 troops to display to the U.S what they will be facing in the event that the Obama Administration decides to take military action.   

Maduro, who's approval rating is below 22%, continues his total  disregard to the economic crisis in Venezuelan.  The Cost of mobilizing troops for a useless  “Anti-Imperialist” pantomime indicates how ignorant and out of touch Maduro is with Venezuelan calamities.

Maduro's cowardliness is seen in the unjustified arrest of  Leopoldo Lopez, and what Lopez represents. He has kept Lopez  in prison for more than a year without any proof to substantiate his detention.  Maduro has also shown to be a repressive dictator that hides under the shadow of his predecessor, Hugo  Chavez, who handed him the regime.

Meanwhile, other political leaders like City of Tachira's Major Daniel  Ceballos and Caracas' Major, Antonio Ledezma were imprisoned by Maduro under false accusations. Student protestors remain victims of this government, many in prison and suffering abuses and tortures.

The script continues being used against Maria Corina Machado, another opposition leader, constantly harassed, while labeling  her as a traitor for "plotting" to assassin the dictator.  

Whether a removal of Maduro, with foreign assistance, remains to be seen, and quite frankly, many of us are hopeful. The truth is that the dire situation in Venezuela is what will ultimately cause the collapsing of this regime.
