 What democracy?

Venezuela is living today the worse period on its democratic history.   Until 1999, Venezuela was considered a successful oil producing country with one of the most stables and successful democracies in the region. The arrival of Hugo Chavez to power hindered the democratic process with promises of a Bolivarian Revolution while dismantling all the democratic institutions of government. Hugo Chavez’s ambition for power and control and his megalomaniac desire to be in the limelight, forced him to give everything to those who "admired" him and "adulated" him for the piece of the oil profit Venezuela has incurring those early years.  Hugo Chavez had many followers, including many foreign "progressive" individuals and mandataries. Hugo Chavez lost his focus to provide the social and economic solutions that he once promised and he embraced a socialist agenda that has produced nothing but more poverty, corruption, waste of money and above all a hyper-inflation.  His desire to be the second Simon Bolivar, the liberator, blinded him until his death.

Hugo Chavez legacy for Venezuela is a sad one. He opened the country to foreign intervention living it vulnerable to the blood sucking Castro brothers, Iran, China, Russia and may others. These foreign interests are doing extensive damage to the progress and well being of the Venezuelan people.  The passing of Hugo Chavez and the arrival of Nicolas Maduro opened a new chapter for Venezuela. The production of food and goods became less and less and today is almost non existent. Nicolas Maduro who has proving to be uneducated and an inept, has engaged in human right violations and in driving Venezuela even deeper into an abysm.  Today Venezuela is a narco-state and the high rank Military officers and political leaders have engaged in growing their wealth through drug trafficking and they are less interested in a productive Venezuela or in democratic Venezuela. The unleashed of delinquency early enacted by Hugo Chavez through with his “colectivos”, a group of criminals in motorcycles commenting crimes while protected by the regime, has placed Venezuela in the list of one of the most dangerous countries in the world.

Venezuela isn’t a democracy today, neither there are democratic institutions left that benefit and protect its citizens. The government have stolen and continues stealing shamelessly to the private businesses to pack of supplies the empty shelves of the regime without paying the for their goods to those business with that the excuse that they are controlling the monopoly of goods by the private sector.  These arbitrary an unjust practice have ruined many businesses. Venezuela today is a poor with miserable people desperate to run away and leave everything behind this country rich in natural resources. I feel very strong and confident to say that Venezuela is being run by a pack of thieves hiding under a so call socialist ideology that needs more than the Venezuelan people protesting, it needs foreign intervention as well.

Diosdado Cabello: Venezuela 's Commander Chief

Diosdado Cabello, President of the Venezuelan National Assembly, has also been a Governor, Minister, Director of Telecommunications. A new title he recently received is Head of the Soles drug cartel.

The case of Diosdado Cabello’s as leader of the drug cartel is growing in Washington, with the recent allegations from Leamsy Salazar, Cabello’s former  Security Officer.  Salazar was previously Hugo Chavez's Security Officer for 10 years and he is now in the United States where he is working with DEA in building a case against Diosdado.

As expected Diosdado has denied those allegations and has accused Salazar of being coerced by the United States as another excuse to destabilize Venezuela and overthrow Maduro. The same conspiracy theory was used repeatedly by the Chavez and is now used by the Maduro regime.

Nicolas Maduro has vowed to support Diosdado Cabellos against Salaza’s accusations and has promised to create an International campaign against those allegations.

Disodado Cabello also has a strong support from Marleny,  his wife “appointed” as the Minister of Tourism;  José David,  his brother “appointed”  Minister of Industry; and other members of his family who have also been “appointed” Government positions. Similar to Saddam Hussein,  and Muammar Gaddafi's families who were “appointed” positions in their Governments.  And we don’t need to go that far,  Fidel Castro’s family and his family in Cuba enjoys the luxury of having their father Fidel and  brother Raul as perpetuated dictators on the Island.

The Venezuelan people have to be clear that getting rid of the second Commander in Chief –Maduro- won’t bring Democracy to Venezuela without getting rid of Diosdado Cabello also.

Diosdado Cabello has been Hovering around the Falling Nicolas Maduro, but his Fate is also on the line

Diosdado Cabello, the president of the Venezuelan National Assembly has been in the headlines lately, but not because he is a nice individual. He is as ruthless and power hungry former military man. As the Maduro regime weakens and the economy is at its all time low, Diosdado Cabello lurks around like a vulture waiting for the right moment to take over. Yet, the new allegations against him as one of the leaders of the drug cartel Soles  may bring a game change to Diosdado Cabello’s fate.

The case against Diosdado Cabello’s as the leader of the Soles drug cartel is now growing in Washington, with the recent allegations from  Leamsy
Salazar who was his main Security Officer.  Leamsy Salazar was originally Hugo Chavez's Security Officer for 10 years, and is now in the United States where he is working with authorities building the case against Diosdado.
This is not the first time that Diosdado Cabello is accused of  drug trafficking. In 2012, Venezuelan Supreme Court judge Eladio Aponte connected Diosdado Cabello with  corruption and drug traffickers. The judge turned over proof of Diosdado Cabello's ties
to narco-trafficking to the DEA.  According to  Judge Aponte, the late Hugo Chavez was also involved in the drug operations carried out by Venezuelan military.

Diosdado Cabello is also known to be responsible for orchestrating abuses in the National Assembly, where Counsel woman Maria Corina Machado and other assembly members were beaten under his watch. Later, he arbitrarily removed  Machado from her post, in violation of the Venezuelan Bolivarian Constitution. Since the Venezuelan people elected Machado, she can't be fired  from her post by the President of the National Assembly.

Similarly, Diosdado Cabello was personally involved in the unjustified arrest and conviction of Leopold Lopez.  It was on February, 2014, when cabello, and  he remaines prisoner of the Maduro regime.
